20-year-old Brighid Fry has taken over the Canadian music scene over the past few years, winning various Canadian music awards. With three critically acclaimed EPs under their belt and having recently toured with acts like Broken Social Scene and Paolo Nutini, the musical act Housewife is ramping up to become a massive name in the industry, especially alongside the release of their newest song, King of Wands.

As Housewife is in the beginning stages of their tour, they have just released their effortlessly introspective new single, King of Wands. This single comes directly after their recent hit Fuck Around Phase, which immersed them more deeply into a more mature and indie-rock-driven sound. Co-written with Gabe Simon (Lana Del Rey, Noah Kahan) and JT Foley (GAYLE, Maddy Hicks), King of Wands flips the script with lyrics about the insecurity that comes in a patriarchal industry, the divine feminine, and wishing for more. Fry teased the single last month when a short clip was published on their socials, gaining immediate traction with fans anxious to hear the full-length version.
Housewife's classically electric instrumentalism and catchy lyrics mesh together to create the perfect song to kick off summer.
